In case you missed the news, McElroy recently released another update to its incredibly useful DataLogger® tablet. The 1.17 update focuses on improving the overall performance of the Android-powered device as well as adjustments for users that are working with extra short cycle times, diameter pipe that’s smaller than average, and several new features.

Among the new features is the ability to manually input traceability information from the pipe. The new feature replaces the longtime “Scan Barcode” button in the pipe settings section with a new button dubbed “Traceability”. Upon selecting this option, users can enter information such as the pipe manufacturer, production date, and more. The option to scan the barcode will remain available.

Several new data fields have also been added, allowing users to enter information like the area name, the name of the procedure, and variation name.
