R&L Manufacturing’s humble beginnings date back to the early 2000s when a design engineer was conducting a simple inquiry to evaluate a pipe system in order to remove internal fusion beads on HDPE piping systems. After being incorporated in April 2000, the company began manufacturing de-beading equipment intended for use in thermoplastic pipe.

The internal bead trimmer heads produced by R&L Manufacturing are intended for use in removing beads from HDPE pipe interiors once they have successfully completed a butt fusion. These trimmer heads are available in a variety of sizes for pipes as small as 3” or as large as 24”. Besides the trimmer, a torque tube assembly is an additional requirement.
